The Ajman International Environment Conference invites electronic registration.

The organizing committee of the Third Ajman International Environment Conference invited those interested in environmental affairs, university students, and conference-related specialists to register through its website www.aiec.ae to benefit from its events, which will kick off in April under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. The conference, organized by the Department of Municipalities and Planning in Ajman, will take place at Ajman University of Science and Technology under the theme 'An Environmental City for Sustainable Development.' It will last for two consecutive days on April 7th and 8th, 2014, at the Sheikh Zayed Conference and Exhibition Center.
Engineer Khaled Muayyin Al-Hosni, the Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector and the Chairman of the Supreme Committee organizing the conference, expressed the committee's expectations for a large and diverse participation from those interested in the environment. He pointed out that the registration process for the conference has been ongoing since its announcement through its website www.aiec.ae. Invitations have been extended to leading experts in the field of the environment worldwide, and several global and local scientists specializing in environmental issues, water, and energy will be hosted.
Engineer Al-Hosni explained that this year's conference will focus on eco-friendly cities for a healthy and sustainable future. These cities aim to reduce the inputs required for energy, water, and food production, as well as waste heat, air pollution, and carbon emissions, including methane and water pollution. He pointed out that experts agree that sustainable development should meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, strengthening itself with renewable energy sources.

The conference this year will host a large number of environmental scientists and experts from around the world and the region, including speakers from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Palestine, India, and Yemen.
