The sixth edition of the Ajman International Environmental Conference kicks off today, Monday, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman. Organized by the Department of Municipality and Planning in Ajman, the conference spans two days with the theme 'Future of Environmental Sustainability,' taking place at the Sheikh Zayed Conference and Exhibition Centre - Ajman University Exhibition Center. The conference features extensive local and international participation, addressing various environmental issues and their importance. It aims to achieve several goals, including supporting sustainable development in the United Arab Emirates, establishing a roadmap for achieving carbon neutrality, and bringing together scientists, professionals, and policymakers from diverse international and national organizations, as well as academic institutions, to exchange knowledge on building a smart and sustainable environment. The conference will provide updates on the latest artificial intelligence technologies that can be implemented in the region for sustainable development and to meet the expectations of 2071. It will explore key factors and practices for achieving green energy and air quality, shaping the future of sustainable cities and communities, and maintaining a long-term perspective on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its future form.
