Reception of submissions for the Hamid bin Rashid Sustainability Award continues until December 15th.

The Hamid bin Rashid International Sustainability Award, in its second edition, has announced the continuation of receiving local and international submissions related to innovative research until December 15th.

Engineer Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, the Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector at the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, emphasized that the award aims to support outstanding ideas and projects in the field of environment and sustainability. This aligns with the wise leadership's strategy and vision in the United Arab Emirates, seeking to achieve a better and more prosperous future for the country. Additionally, it contributes to the ongoing global efforts to find more sustainable solutions to address environmental challenges.

He explained that the award aims to honor and encourage anything that supports sustainability, whether it be research, environmental projects, or individuals contributing to this field. It also includes institutions that apply sustainability principles and serve as exemplary models.

And Al-Hosani said that the projects submitted for the award would be presented to the scientific committee, and the winner would be announced in March 2024 during the Ajman International Environment Conference. He called on experts and leading entities to participate in the award, which supports those deserving in the field of sustainability and the environment.

The scientific committee for the second edition of the award includes a number of experts, academics, and specialists in the field of the environment, including local and international judges.
